Throughout the year, the Institute for Automotive Market Research has been collecting and analyzing tariffs on major EV charging stations on a volunteer basis to provide drivers and businesses with a simple guide to the market, which is still taking its first steps.
Last month, our work sparked a public discussion, as a result of which we offered market operators a new, most objective format for cooperation: to provide us with official price ranges «from-to» directly. This should remove any questions about the accuracy of the data.
We have sent official letters to all key operators twice. As of October 15, no response has been received.
We can no longer publish information collected from open sources, because the operators themselves called it «biased.» We cannot publish official data, because the same operators did not provide it to us.
Therefore, the monthly review of EV charging prices is temporarily suspended. Unlike the fuel market, where prices are published on large billboards even without taking into account discounts, loyalty programs, or wholesale tariffs, the charging services market is not currently ready to provide such transparency.
