The market for шьзщкеув гіув electric cars with mileage — results for November 2025

November 2025 became a «silver» month for the import of used electric vehicles. The Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 7,569 such cars. This is the second largest value in the entire history of observations (there was more only in October).

The market dynamics show an interesting picture. Compared to the previous month, we see a slight cooling ( −4.6% ) associated with the logistical deadlines for delivering cars from the USA. However, if we look at the situation globally, compared to November 2024, imports increased by a fantastic 170.4%. This indicates that the desire to have time to take advantage of the «zero customs clearance» before the VAT refund has become the main driver of the market.

The final change of power has taken place in the brand rankings. Tesla has not just taken first place, it has made a huge leap forward. With a total of 2,161 cars, Elon Muskʼs brainchild is three times ahead of its closest pursuer, Nissan (716 units).

In fact, the market has been divided into «Tesla» and «everyone else». The popularity of the American brand is due to the fall in prices at US auctions and the desire of Ukrainians to get the most technologically advanced car with a long range. The rest of the list is a tight struggle between Asian ( KIA, Hyundai ) and German ( Audi, Volkswagen ) brands, which are trying to satisfy demand in more traditional segments.

The model comparison confirms: the era of budget electric cars with a short range is over. The long-time leader, the Nissan Leaf (638 units), has slipped to third place.

The first two places were taken by Tesla models:

  1. Tesla Model Y (922 units) is the most popular used electric car of the month.
  2. Tesla Model 3 (850 units) — silver medalist.

This is a significant event: Ukrainians are massively switching to D-class crossovers and sedans, preferring comfort and technology over simple economy. Also in the top ten are the time-tested KIA Niro and Hyundai Kona, and the premium segment is worthily represented by the Tesla Model S and Audi e-tron. The presence of the Volkswagen Golf (electric version) in the top shows that fans of the German classic are also switching to electric traction.

Stanislav Buchatsky, Institute for Car Market Research, comments:

«The statistics of the «drive-in» of electric cars perfectly illustrate the impact of tax changes on the behavior of buyers. The figure of +170% per year is a classic «tax fever». Everyone who had the intention and the financial opportunity is trying to buy an electric car by January 1. A small decrease from month to month (-4.6%) has a technical explanation: the flow of cars from American auctions began to decrease. The reason is simple: buying a car in the USA in November means getting it in Ukraine in January-February, when there will probably be no more benefits. Therefore, the «window of opportunity» for American imports closed back in October, and now the last batches are arriving. As for Teslaʼs leadership, this is a natural stage of market maturity. The Ukrainian buyer has already «grown up» from short trips on the Nissan Leaf and needs a full-fledged main car in the family, the role of which is ideally performed by the Model 3 and Model Y."
