In November 2025, the average age of passenger cars in the domestic market of Ukraine reached 16.6 years. This is slightly more than in October (16.4 years) and indicates an increase in sales in the most budget and age segments.
Geographically, the picture remains stable: the capital sells the newest cars, while the oldest cars circulate in the East and South.

The leaders, who maintain the lowest average age of cars, are traditionally concentrated in financial centers and the West. Kyiv City: With an indicator of 11.1 years, the capital maintains a significant gap from the rest of the country. Kyiv is the only region where the average age does not exceed 12 years. This is explained by the high concentration of new and freshly driven vehicles. Interestingly, the capital has “rejuvenated” a little in a month, which indicates an active circulation of young cars.
Transcarpathian and Lviv regions: These western regions share second place with an indicator of 14.7 years. This is expected, because this is where the main flow of imports of used cars passes, which, although not new, are much younger than the average Ukrainian car fleet.
This time, the increase in the average age is demonstrated by the electronic sales channel. At the beginning of November, the average age of cars re-registered through Diya increased to 17.0 years (from 16.8 in October). This turns the “digital region” into a haven for the oldest cars sold in the country (older only in Sumy, Kherson, and Donetsk regions). This may indicate that Diya’s functionality is used mainly for simple and quick purchase and sale transactions of the most budget cars, where the buyer and seller have already agreed on all the nuances.

Several regions showed the largest fluctuations in the average age, which indicates the activation of certain market segments. Rivne region (+0.5 years): The largest growth was recorded here. This means that in November the oldest cars were actively sold on the market, which pulled the average indicator up. Chernihiv and Sumy regions (+0.4 years): These regions also show significant aging. Probably, the local population, in the conditions of the autumn season and financial prudence, began to massively get rid of their oldest "iron horses" or, conversely, actively buy the cheapest offers. Kherson region (-0.7 years): The only region where there was a significant "rejuvenation", however, given the extremely small trading volumes there, only a few cars are enough for such statistical changes to appear.
By individual segments, divided by fuel/power, the picture of our “secondary” looks like this: the youngest are electric cars, last month their average age was 4.7 years. They are followed by cars with hybrid power plants with an indicator of 5.8 years, which also cannot be called old. But representatives of the remaining “fuel families” can no longer boast of youth: gasoline cars sold in November had an average age of 14.3 years, diesel cars — 14.8 years, and those equipped with LPG (gasoline cylinder equipment) almost touched the second ten — 18.3 years.
