Not the "Euro" and not the "electric cars." V8 engines are returning to the market in the USA!

In mid-March 2025, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a large-scale package of changes to existing regulations. This is the result of promises by Donald Trump, the President of the United States, who insisted on relaxing exhaust standards and questioned the ideas related to the promotion of electric vehicles (which seems extremely paradoxical given the Presidentʼs close ties with Elon Musk), reports Moto.pl.

The reaction of manufacturers present in the American market was not long in coming: it is already known that this year the V8 in the HEMI 5.7 liter version will be returned to the RAM 1500 pickup truck, which is still offered with a maximum of V6. This also hints that other HEMI variations will soon appear on the list of available for order — 6.4 and 6.2 liters, which will be offered for the Dodge Charger and Durango.

Local car market experts expect the V8 to return to Jeep as well – first to the limited edition Wrangler Rubicon, then to the "regular" Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer.

We remind you that in Ukraine, the environmental standards currently in force for the first registration of cars are "Euro-2" for used cars, and "Euro-5" for new cars and all other vehicles with internal combustion engines. In 2027, "Euro-6" will be introduced for all vehicles, except for used cars.
