Top 10 electric cars on the domestic market — results of August

Domestic resales are the second largest passenger car sub-segment of the BEV group, with a share of 28.9%. The number of electric traction machines that were resold inside the crane during August — 2,724 units. As for the dynamics, compared to July, the increase was 22%, and if compared with August last year, it was plus 55%.

Since the segment of electric cars is relatively young, the basis here consists of imported used electric cars (the share of such cars is 58.3%), the "secondary" is pulled up by the "servant" and, partly, by the not too numerous segment of new ones.

What was sold last month? Letʼs start with the brands, where Tesla is the clear leader, both in terms of quantity and share, and with a considerable difference from Nissan, which is in second place, and which has been the leader here for almost 10 years. Well, the segment is young, just gaining momentum, so changes can happen here much more often than in any other part of our car market.

Letʼs consider the Top 10 brands of electric cars with mileage, which had the greatest demand in the domestic market:

  8. Honda — 81 pcs.
  9. Chevrolet — 77 pcs.
  10. BMW — 77 pcs.

If the American Tesla managed to take the lead among the manufacturers, it will not be easy to repeat the success of the Nissan Leaf among the models. At least, it will definitely take a lot of time, even taking into account the fact that Tesla approaches the Leaf with three models at once.

  8. Audi e-tron — 78 pcs.
  9. Hyundai Kona — 74 pcs.

It is worth noting that the segment of electric cars remains the youngest on the secondary market — the average age of cars bought and sold in August is 5.8 years. This is much less than the general indicator for a light "secondary", which is 15 years.
