In the domestic market, during November 2025, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs registered 69.7 thousand contracts for the purchase and sale of used cars. This is 11.3% less than in October 2025, but 0.9% more than the contracts concluded last year in November 2024.
The domestic market volumes in the diagram are shown in the upper (blue) part of the columns, and in the lower (orange) part — the volumes of imports of used cars, which we will soon examine in detail in a separate publication.
If imports are about dreams and renewal, then domestic resales are a mirror of the real economy. And in November, this mirror showed a rather contrasting picture.
The market leader remains Volkswagen. Ukrainians believe in the reliability of the «Germans», which is why this brand leads the rating by a wide margin.
But the second step makes you think. Lada has again risen to the «silver» position, overtaking Renault and Skoda. This is the same «red light» of the economy: when incomes fall or uncertainty increases, people look for the cheapest vehicle that just drives. And although we all want to see modern cars in the top, the reality is that old «Zhiguli» remain one of the most liquid options in the budget segment.

Next on the list is a tight battle between European pragmatism (Renault, Škoda, Ford ) and the premium desire for comfort (BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz). Moreover, this time the Bavarians bypassed competitors from Stuttgart and Ingolstadt.
In the model rating, an eternal confrontation continues. The gold is held by the Volkswagen Passat — a universal choice for family and business. But Daewoo Lanos is breathing down its neck. Which is not going to give up its position and is trying to convince everyone that it is still great, but the bad statistics of rejections indicate otherwise: in the list «for melting» it is in third position, so this noise is already leaving the queue «for the exit». The top three is closed by the Škoda Octavia — a standard of practicality.
It is interesting to note the presence of two BMW representatives in the Top 10 (3 Series and 5 Series). This indicates that even when buying a used car, Ukrainians are not ready to give up emotions and drive, often choosing an older «five» instead of a fresher state-owned car.
As always, we will finish by counting the premium segment cars. In November, 241 Porsche, 10 Maserati and 8 Bentley found new owners. There were also individual deals with Aston Martin and Lamborghini.
The most expensive car of the month
The title of the most expensive deal of November goes to a true aristocrat who decided to swap his classic tuxedo for a high-tech eco-suit. This is the 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge. The first all-electric super coupe from the British brand: black, luxurious and completely silent.
It is symbolic that the most expensive car of the month was an electric car — even in the world of ultra-luxury, the future has already come. And they almost forgot about the price: the «basic» version (we apologize for using such a term near Rolls-Royce) starts at around $420,000. And the Black Badge version is the brandʼs «dark alter ego» with a boosted engine and special decor, which easily raises the check well above half a million. How much higher? The oldest cars: living witnesses of history
If Rolls-Royce looks to the future, some market participants came to us from an era when the world was completely different — analog, jazzy and without ballpoint pens.
The oldest car to change hands in November was a 1938 Opel Olympia. Just imagine: this beige sedan rolled off the assembly line in the same year that Superman first appeared in comics, and Hungarian journalist Laszlo Biro had just patented the ballpoint pen. That is, this car was already on the roads when humanity was still writing with ink and had not even heard of Teflon pans. This is not just transportation, it is a mechanical witness to an era when technology was made of metal, not marketing.

He was accompanied by three «graduates» from 1939 — thatʼs when Gone with the Wind was released, and women first saw nylon stockings on sale:

«The domestic market in November demonstrates not just stability, but real conservatism of tastes. First, we see the unwavering loyalty of Ukrainians to the «old premium». The high positions of BMW and Audi hint that the belief «an old „German“ is better than a fresh state-owned car» seems to be passed down from generation to generation in our country.
Secondly, it is the «survival» of the budget segment. The presence of VAZs in the top brands and Lanos among the models is a signal not about tastes, but about needs. Honestly, many of these cars, due to their age and condition, are long past their time for melting. But the market always returns them back from the queue to the press. Why? Because this is the most affordable entry ticket to the world of automotive mobility. Unlike a motorcycle or electric scooter, there is a roof over your head, a stove, space for four passengers and a trunk for potatoes. And while this is the cheapest alternative to public transport, they will be a popular product".
