New passenger car market in Ukraine — results of September 2025

During September 2025, Ukrainians and local enterprises purchased 6.2 thousand new passenger cars. Compared to September 2024, we have an increase in volumes of 21.1%, but when comparing this yearʼs September to August, we get a minus of 10.5%.

The majority of new passenger cars, as usual (97.9%, 6,081 units), were imported from abroad. The share of passenger cars manufactured in Ukraine was 2.1% (129 units).

Among the brands, the most cars with BYD, Toyota, and Volkswagen emblems were submitted for first registration. Here are the Top 10 manufacturers according to the results of September of this year:

The leader among individual brands this time is the crossover with a German logo, but Chinese roots — Volkswagen ID. Unyx (mostly the updated version with the index 06). The second position in the “old-timer of the market” is the Toyota RAV4, and in third position is again a Chinese product, no longer from a joint venture, but an independent one — BYD Song Plus.

Top 10 new passenger car models, 09/2025

Among new cars registered as manufactured in Ukraine (quantitatively included in the overall ranking), the leader last month was the Skoda Karoq crossover (63 units), which is produced at the Transcarpathian Eurocar plant. Other places were occupied by cars of the VD, AP, SKS brands and similar models converted by local enterprises, mostly in quantities of less than 10 units.

The share of legal entities that became buyers of new cars last month was 24.8%, while private buyers — individuals, respectively, bought 75.2% of new cars.
