The Ukrainian car fleet has been replenished with 5,598 new electric cars since the beginning of 2025, and separately, during June, 1,396 new BEV cars received their first license plates and technical passports, which is a new record for our market. See more about the total statistics in the segment here.
In June, the new electric car market was dominated by passenger cars from Chinese and European brands. BYD (pronounced “b-i-d-i,” short for Build Your Dreams ) remains the leader, holding on to the lead, followed by Volkswagen, Honda, and Zeekr — evidence that the balance between trust in established brands and interest in new players continues to shift.
Among premium brands , Audi and BMW stand out, while Volvo, Mini and MG show a moderate but steady increase in interest. Despite the general slowdown in the car market, the electric vehicle segment shows signs of sustainable development, and June data only confirms this.

Next, letʼs move on to the Top 10 models of new electric vehicles that were most often purchased during June of this year:

The most popular models on the new electric car market in June were the Volkswagen ID Unyx and Honda e:NS1, which have already established themselves as a “smart choice” in the mid-range class. The top three also included the BYD Song Plus crossover, which is rapidly gaining popularity among those looking for a spacious electric car at an affordable price.
Interestingly, the Top 10 also includes new models from Zeekr and BYD, which were previously not widely known in Ukraine. This indicates the rapid adaptation of the market to Chinese brands and the changing perception of electric vehicles — from a niche exotic to a practical everyday car.
