Dynamics of the new passenger car market, 2024-2025

The majority of new passenger cars, as usual (96.9%, 5,570 units), were imported from abroad. The share of passenger cars manufactured in Ukraine was 3.1% (179 units).

Among the brands, the most cars with Toyota, Volkswagen, Skoda, and Renault emblems were submitted for first registration. Here are the Top 10 manufacturers according to the results of April of this year:

Among individual models, like last year, the Renault Duster and Toyota RAV4 left showrooms most often. The difference in numbers between the following participants is much greater in relation to the leaders of this Top 10, but much smaller between them. With such a relatively small contrast, only a few cars have an impact on the final position of the model in the list. Which can ultimately be explained by the considerable competition between a number of crossovers of the same size (and sometimes price) class. Traditionally, the top ten is mostly made up of crossovers.

Among new cars registered as manufactured in Ukraine (quantitatively included in the overall ranking), the leader in the first quarter was the Skoda Karoq crossover (93 units), which is produced at the Transcarpathian Eurocar plant. The second place among the products of the same enterprise is the Skoda Octavia (23 units). The third position is held by the Toyota RAV4 (9 units), which have undergone conversion. The next steps were divided among cars converted by local enterprises for various special purposes (ordered by the police, medical services, etc.).
