Underlining the October numbers for the electric vehicle segment ended with the following conclusions: the total volume of the segment was 6.6 thousand, which is 2% more than in the previous reporting month, and also 6.8% more than last year in October 2023.
After the peak indicators in August (the reason for which is explained more than once, for example, in this article ), electric car auctions reached the usual average statistical level, with a small overall increase compared to last yearʼs results.
The structure of the segment according to the results of October is as follows: the basis is made up of imported electric cars with mileage, the share of such cars is 48.5%, or 3,213 units.
The second sub-segment in terms of volume is domestic resale of passenger cars of the BEV group, the share is 36.9%, the number is 2,447 units.
New electric cars occupy 14.6% of their group, and in quantitative terms it is 970 units.
How have the indicators for these sub-segments changed? (MM — month compared to the previous month, YY — compared to the same month of the previous year):
- Domestic resales: -1.5% MM, +42.8% YY
- Used imports: +1.1% MM, -12% YY
- New imports: +15.8% MM, +15.2% YY
In general, the market of electric cars has stabilized, the volume of trades in each of the sub-segments (without the influence of external factors) does not change much, there is a slight increase, in general, this part of the market is on the so-called "statistical plateau".
Negative phenomena, such as forced power cuts due to missile and drone strikes by terrorists, can reduce the level of trading here. An increase in volumes is possible closer to the middle to the end of 2025, since benefits for customs clearance of electric vehicles will be canceled from the beginning of 2026.

The total fleet of electric vehicles in Ukraine (excluding industrial electric cars, trolleybuses and rail cars) is 131,500. units It has the largest number of passenger cars — 127.8 thousand. There are 2.9 thousand electric trucks, there are also several electric buses (5 units), and almost 9 hundred motor vehicles.
