Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the Top-20 most popular used models that were bought in Ukraine in March.
The most popular brands in the domestic market
It is the leader among manufacturers of passenger cars that were bought on the domestic market in March most often, it remains Volkswagen: 10.6 thousand purchase and sale agreements were concluded for cars of this brand, which is 12.3% of the total volume of all agreements.
VAZ is in second place with a share of 6.2%and 5.4 thousand transactions. In third place is Renault (5.8%, 5 thousand ). Fourth place with a share of 5.5%and 4.8 thousand purchased cars went to Skoda. Rounding out the top five is BMW with a share of 5.1% and 4,400 deals.

The most popular models in the domestic market
The first place among domestic sales in March was once again taken by the long-time leader of the Ukrainian secondary car market Volkswagen Passat (3.1 thousand deals). In second place is Skoda Octavia (2.7 thousand transactions).
The third place was occupied by Volkswagen Golf (2.5 thousand transactions), the fourth place is still held by Daewoo Lanos (2 thousand transactions). Rounding out the top five is Renault Megane (1.5 thousand transactions).
The top five models that Ukrainian motorists buy most often do not change much over the course of many months, which indicates a constant demand for these cars. It is also worth noting that although the models from the given Top-20 belong to different classes — from compact budget versions to sedans or crossovers of the "business" segment, in terms of price, they somehow do not go too far beyond the Ukrainian mass market, which is in the range $2-10 thousand. It is clear that for cars of the highest class, the difference in price is compensated by their age, less often — auction origin.
