Since the New Year, new tariffs for some services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been introduced

Laws

The prices for four services of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which are important for motorists, are changing: theoretical and practical exams, issuing a driverʼs license and vehicle re-registration. Before the changes, these services cost UAH 13 for theoretical and practical exams, driverʼs license issuance — UAH 26, vehicle registration — UAH 200.

From January 1, 2024, new prices for these services will be established, which is provided for in Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1386 dated 12.27.2023 (the price does not include the commission of the banking institution or payment system):

  • Issuing a driverʼs license — UAH 230;
  • Theoretical exam – UAH 250;
  • Practical exam — UAH 420;
  • Re-registration of vehicle — UAH 350;

According to the GSC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the reason for the revision of tariffs is that the cost of administrative services remained unchanged for more than 10 years even before the establishment of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During this time, the price of material resources, maintenance of information support of state registers, computer equipment and infrastructure maintenance has increased. The cost of fuel and lubricants for vehicle maintenance has increased. The fleet of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is updated with modern cars, and examination classes for taking theoretical exams are equipped with computer equipment. Therefore, the cost of paid administrative services was economically unreasonable and led to additional costs from the budget.

Services for motorists in Diya are temporarily unavailable

In connection with the revision of tariffs, the payment details in the relevant parts of the electronic systems will have to be changed, due to which the driverʼs license exchange services in the driverʼs office and Diya, as well as online car re-registration will be temporarily unavailable.
