The peak of the motorcycle season continues: the top 20 motorcycles and mopeds of June

Experts of the Auto Market Research Institute analyzed the statistics of motorcycle registrations in June and identified the top models in three segments: import of used, domestic resale and purchase of new motorcycles and mopeds. The indicators were the highest since July 2021.

Dynamics of the motorcycle market

In June, Ukrainians purchased 8,100 motorcycles and mopeds. This is 5.2% more than in the same period last year, and 2.5% more than in May 2023. The indicator turned out to be the highest since July 2021.

Among the total number, 57.4% of motorcycles and mopeds were new (imported from abroad), amounting to 4.7 thousand pieces. Thus, the motorcycle segment remains the only one in the Ukrainian car market, where the majority of transactions are sales of new vehicles.

2.7 thousand contracts for the purchase and sale of motorcycle equipment were concluded on the domestic market, which accounted for 33.1% of the total number.

Only 9.5% were imported used from abroad (773 units).

The most popular motorcycles and mopeds on the domestic market

Honda (16.1%), Yamaha (13.5%) and Suzuki (9.3%) were the most popular on the domestic market among motorcycles in June.

Among the models, Loncin LX250 (53 pcs.) was the most popular. Jawa 350 (51 units) took second place, and Lifan LF200 (43 units) took third place.

In June, used Yamaha (34.8%), Honda (31.2%) and Suzuki (14.2%) were most imported from abroad.

Among the models, Yamaha Jog (120 pcs.) had the greatest demand. In second place is Honda Dio (73 units). Yamaha Gear (19 units) placed third.

New motorcycles of Chinese manufacturers are mainly bought in Ukraine: in June, the brands Lifan (15.7%), Musstang (14.5%) and Spark (9%) became the leaders.

Among the models, the first was the Mustang MT125 (314 units). The second place was taken by Lifan LF175 (263 units), and the third place by Spark SP125C (234 units).
