Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the top 15 most popular used models that were bought in Ukraine in April.
The most popular brands in the domestic market
The leader of passenger car brands that were bought on the domestic market in April Volkswagen remains the biggest. Ukrainians concluded 9,600 purchase and sale agreements for cars of this brand, which is 12.3% of the total number.
The second place in the rating was taken by Renault (6%, 4.7 thousand ).
The Russian-Soviet VAZ (Lada) products took third place. In April, it amounted to 5.6% ( 4.4 thousand transactions).
The fourth position was taken by Skoda with a share of 5.4% ( 4.2 thousand ). Toyota closes the top five with a share of 5.4% and 4.2 thousand deals.
The most popular models in the domestic market
The first place among domestic sales in April was taken by the unchanging leader of the Ukrainian car market, Volkswagen Passat (2.8 thousand deals). In second place is Daewoo Lanos (in total with modifications, including Sens) with 2.5 thousand deals. In third place, as last month, was Skoda Octavia (2.4 thousand transactions).
The fourth step was occupied by Volkswagen Golf (2 thousand deals). Rounding out the top five is Renault Megane (1.5 thousand deals).
In general, the top 20 used cars on the domestic market in April look like this:
- Volkswagen Passat — 2,793 units.
- Lanos & Sens — 2,477 pcs.
- Skoda Octavia — 2,407 units.
- Volkswagen Golf — 2,045 pcs.
- Renault Megane — 1,459 units.
- Ford Focus — 1,235 pcs.
- Toyota Camry — 1,076 pcs.
- BMW 5 Series — 1,065 units.
- Skoda Fabia — 1,026 units.
- BMW 3 Series — 985 units.
- Opel Astra — 966 pcs.
- Audi A6 — 953 units.
- Chevrolet Aveo — 943 pcs.
- VAZ 2109/99 — 942 pcs.
- Audi A4 — 817 pcs.
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class — 814 units.
- Volkswagen Jetta — 798 pcs.
- BMW X5 — 792 pcs.
- Hyundai Sonata — 772 pcs.
- Renault Scenic — 759 pcs.
