Motorcycle sales are growing. Results of February

Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of motorcycle registrations in February and identified the top models in three segments: import of used, domestic resale and purchase of new motorcycles and mopeds.

Dynamics of the motorcycle market

In February, Ukrainians purchased 1,800 motorcycles and mopeds. This is −38.6% less than in February last year and 10.8% more than in January 2023.

In February , 56.1% of motorcycles and mopeds were new (imported from abroad), amounting to 1,009 units. Currently, the motorcycle segment remains the only one on the Ukrainian car market, where most deals are sales of new vehicles.

591 agreements for the purchase of motorcycle equipment were concluded on the domestic market, which accounted for 32.8% of the total number.

Only 11.1% of the total number of motorcycles and mopeds purchased in January were imported used from abroad (200 units).

The most popular motorcycles and mopeds on the domestic market

The Jawa 350 motorcycle (19 units) was the most purchased in February on the domestic market. In second place was Yamaha Jog (11 units), and in third place — Kovi 250 (10 units).

Honda CBR 600 (9 units) and Honda Dio (9 units) also made it to the top five.

In February, the most used Yamaha Jog (32 units) was imported from abroad. In second place is Honda Dio (12 units). Yamaha Gear (12 pcs.) placed third.

Yamaha Cygnus (11 pcs.) and Suzuki Lets (6 pcs.) were also often brought.

The most popular new motorcycles and mopeds

Motorcycles of Chinese manufacturers are mostly bought new in Ukraine. Yes, the first was the Mustang MT125 (71 pcs.). The second place was taken by Spark SP125C (54 units), and the third place by Lifan LF175 (53 units).

The fourth place was taken by Bajaj Boxer BM 150 (39 units). Rounding out the top five is the Mustang MT200 (37 units).
