The "primary market" should be understood as the total number of first registrations of new vehicles of the relevant type (cars, trucks, buses, etc.), imported from abroad and manufactured in Ukraine.
In June 2021, Ukrainians bought a total of 9,600 units on the primary market. passenger vehicles. Of these, 8,530 (88.9%) — the first registrations of imported cars, 1,070 (11.2%) — the first registrations of cars manufactured in Ukraine.
Compared to the previous month ( May 2021 ), the total volume of the primary market increased by 3%. In June, Ukrainians bought 869 new cars more than last month. At the same time, used cars are sold ten times more than new ones. Compared to May 2021, the share of new car sales in the structure of the car market in Ukraine,increased slightly from 7.6% to 8.5%.
The most popular models in the primary market
The most popular new cars in June 2021 were Toyota RAV-4 (549 cars sold) and KIA Sportage (532 units). The third, fourth, fifth and seventh places in the ranking were taken by Dacia/Renault cars: Dokker (319 units), Duster (319 units), Sandero (310 units), and Logan (217 units). Interestingly, the top 10 most popular new cars do not include German brands, as well as vehicles made in Ukraine.

In June 2021, the largest number of specialized vehicles manufactured by Ukrainian enterprises on the basis of foreign imported machine kits was sold. In particular, 191 specialized ambulances "AUTOSPETSPROM" based on Citroen Jumper/Peugeot Boxer, 65 specialized police cars based on Renault Duster (manufacturer LLC "Spets-Com-Service"), and another 25 vehicles specialized medical care based on Renault Master (manufactured by KrASZ).
Also in June 2021, 413 Skoda cars (Kodiaq, Karoq and Fabia) sold by PJSC Eurocar were sold in Ukraine.
