Experts of the Auto Market Research Institute analyzed vehicle registration statistics in Ukraine in January and identified the 15 most popular models of small commercial vehicles in three segments: used import, domestic resale, and new car purchases.
LCV market dynamics
In January, Ukrainians purchased 3,700 light commercial vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons. This is -21.3% less than in the same period last year, and -14% less than in December 2022. Overall, this is the lowest figure since April 2022.
The majority of small commercial cars in January 2023 were purchased on the domestic market: 2.9 thousand (77.6%). 603 used LCVs (16.3%) were brought from abroad.
Only 187 new imported LCVs were sold, and another 39 were purchasedlight trucks converted by Ukrainian enterprises. In total, the sale of new LCVs accounted for 6.2% of the total number of small commercial vehicles.
The most popular LCVs in the domestic market
The leader in the domestic LCV resale market remains the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (443 units), based on which there are many modifications and superstructures for various needs.
The second place in the rating is traditionally occupied by Renault Master (271 units), and the third place is occupied by Volkswagen Transporter (162 units).
The fourth step was taken by Ford Transit (161 units), and the fifth place is still occupied by the Russian GAZ 3302 "Gazelle" (154 units).

Renault Master remains the leader of imported used LCVs (174 units), Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is in second place (130 units), and Renault Kangoo (44 units) is in third place.
Volkswagen Crafter (43 units) and Renault Traffic (30 units) also made it into the top five.
