Domestic resales of used cars: top 20 models of October

Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the top 20 most popular used models that were bought in Ukraine in October.

The most popular brands in the domestic market

The leader of passenger car brands that were bought on the domestic market, according to the results of October remains Volkswagen. Ukrainians concluded 8,700 purchase and sale agreements for cars of this brand, which is 12.5% of the total number. In second place is still present the products of the Russian-Soviet VAZ (6.4%, 4.4 thousand units).

The third place in the rating was taken by Renault (5.6%, 4.4 thousand units), and Toyota rose to fourth place with a share of 5.5% (3.8 thousand units). Skoda took fifth place (5.2%, 3.6 thousand).

The most popular models in the domestic market

The first place among domestic sales in October has traditionally been taken by the Volkswagen Passat (2.5 thousand deals). Daewoo Lanos and its modifications came in second place (2.4 thousand deals). Third place was taken by Skoda Octavia (2,000 deals), and fourth place was taken by Volkswagen Golf (2,000 deals). Rounding out the top five is Renault Megane (1.2 thousand transactions).

Most of the top 20 most popular passenger car models on the domestic market are made by European manufacturers. Only the Volkswagen Jetta and the Hyundai Sonata can be called typical "Americans" in the rating on 18th and 19th places, respectively.

Among the Russian-Soviet cars in the rating, the VAZ "nine" and its modification 21099 still remain in ninth place, but their number is decreasing every month.

In general, the October rating of resales of used cars in the domestic market looks like this:

3. Skoda Octavia — 2,013 units.
4. Volkswagen Golf — 1,993 units.
5. Renault Megane — 1,174 units.
6. Ford Focus — 1,056 pcs.
7. BMW 5 Series — 1,014 units.
8. Toyota Camry — 950 pcs.
9. VAZ 2109/99 — 930 pcs.
10. Skoda Fabia — 905 pcs.
11. Audi A6 — 894 pcs.
12. BMW 3 Series — 879 units.
13. Chevrolet Aveo — 876 pcs.
14. Opel Astra — 876 pcs.
15. Mercedes-Benz E-Class — 829 units.
16. Audi A4 — 807 pcs.
17. BMW X5 — 712 pcs.
18. Volkswagen Jetta — 672 pcs.
19. Hyundai Sonata — 619 pcs.
20. Renault Scenic — 615 pcs.
