During November 2025, Ukrainians and local enterprises purchased 7.7 thousand new passenger cars. In a year-on-year comparison with November 2024, we have an increase in volumes of 53.3%, and when comparing this yearʼs November to October, we get a small decrease, only 0.2%.
The majority of new passenger cars, as usual (98.5%, 7,597 units), were imported from abroad. The share of passenger cars manufactured in Ukraine was 1.5% (118 units).
November statistics have finally shattered the myth that Ukrainians are afraid of Chinese cars. Analytics demonstrate an amazing paradox: motorists write skeptical comments about "disposable gadgets" on social networks, and then silently go to car dealerships and vote for them with hryvnia (or dollars).
BYD became the market leader by an obscene margin. To give you an idea of the scale, this brand sold almost as many as its closest rivals, Toyota and Volkswagen, combined. The Chinese giant has gone from being an “alternative” to a mainstream brand.
In second place is Volkswagen. But the lionʼs share of sales here is made by electric cars of the ID series, again produced in the PRC.
Rounding out the top three is the unwavering Toyota. The Japanese are confidently holding their positions, remaining a stronghold of traditional values and hybrid technologies in this digital vortex.
Zeekr deserves special attention. This premium "Chinese" is already breathing down the backs of popular Renault and Hyundai, and has confidently overtaken the classic premium — Audi and BMW. It seems that the idea of luxury in Ukraine is changing rapidly.
Tectonic shifts have occurred in the model ranking. The long-standing leader of Ukrainian roads, the favorite of farmers and corporate fleets, Renault Duster, found itself outside the top three.
Who took the podium? The entire top 3 now belongs to electric or hybrid crossovers with Chinese roots. In first place is BYD Leopard 3. Following it is the stylish electric cross-coupe Volkswagen ID. Unyx. The third position was taken by the almost “popular” BYD Song Plus.
Even the Toyota RAV4 has slipped a little lower, although it continues to show excellent results.
Overall, the top ten sees an interesting mix of pragmatism and futurism: alongside the latest Zeekr 7X and BYD Sea Lion 06, the classic Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Hyundai Tucson, and Skoda Kodiaq retain their places.
November clearly showed that the market has passed an important stage of transformation. While skeptics are looking for flaws in the "Chinese", buyers have already chosen technology and design. Toyota and Renault were left without a crown, and BYD has become the sales leader. Welcome to the new reality.
Among new cars registered as manufactured in Ukraine (quantitatively included in the overall ranking), the leader last month was the Skoda Karoq crossover (68 units), which is produced at the Transcarpathian Eurocar plant. Other places are occupied by cars of the SKS, PU, GAS brands and similar ones converted by local enterprises, mostly in single quantities.
