Today is that Sunday when the country is divided into two categories: those who accept congratulations and those who Google "when is motoristʼs day." If you are reading this, you are most likely from the first category. And thatʼs great!
The team of the Institute for Automotive Research sincerely welcomes everyone involved in four (whether from two to sixteen) wheels and the infrastructure that allows them to roll.
Motorist and Road Worker Day is a holiday not only for those who professionally turn the wheel or lay asphalt. It is a holiday for everyone who warms up the engine in the morning, who calculates logistics so as to "drop off the child, make it to the meeting, and avoid getting stuck in a traffic jam on the bridge," and who knows that a "pothole in the road" is not just a nuisance, but an occasion for analytics.
This is a celebration of the millions of people who move this country every day. Literally.
At the Institute, we constantly study numbers: the average age of the fleet, import volumes, registration dynamics. But behind each of these numbers is a person. A person choosing their first car, an entrepreneur updating a commercial fleet, or a road worker bringing another kilometer of road back to life.
A car has long ceased to be a luxury. It is a tool of freedom, work, and life.
So today we wish everyone involved three simple but vital things:
- A full tank (or a charged battery — weʼre looking to the future).
- Smooth roads (and so that the work of road workers is noticeable only by their quality).
- Green light at all lifeʼs crossroads.
Happy holiday! Letʼs move on.
