Experts from the Institute for Automotive Market Research analyzed vehicle registration statistics in Ukraine in June 2025 and identified the most popular models in three bus segments: used import, domestic resale, and new purchase.
Bus market dynamics
During June 2025, Ukrainian carriers purchased 425 new and used buses. This is 28.1% less compared to May of this year, and 29.6% less compared to June 2024.
By individual subsegments, the comparative dynamics of bus sales is as follows:
- Domestic resales: −32.8% MM, −42.7% YY
- Used imports: −23.9% MM, +11.1% YY
- New imports: −67.7% MM, −16.7% YY
- Made in Ukraine: +41.5% MM, +107.1% YY
Most of the buses were purchased on the domestic market : 287 units, which amounted to 67.5% of the total.
16.5% of used buses, or 70 units, were brought from abroad.
Also last month, 68 new buses were registered for the first time: 58 of these were manufactured or re-equipped in Ukraine ( 13.6% ), the remaining 10 units (2.4%) arrived from abroad.
The most popular buses on the domestic market
The leader in domestic resales remains buses based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, with 79 units purchased. A significant portion of these vehicles were converted into passenger buses from trucks at one time.
In second place is Volkswagen LT with a result of 15 cars. The same number of purchase and sale agreements were concluded for Ruta 25 and BAZ A099 "Etalon". According to this principle , Bohdan A-092 is in third place.
The most popular used buses imported from abroad
In June 2025, buses based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (21 units) also won the championship in this subsegment.
Second place went to the Dutch VDL Ambassador buses, 8 of which arrived. Third place went to cars based on the Volkswagen Crafter (4 units).

The most popular new buses
The first place in the subsegment of new passenger vehicles was taken by Bogdan/Ataman A-092 with a total of 20 first registrations.
Second in this ranking is Bogdan/Ataman A-221412 with a total of 12 vehicles sold. Third place went to ZAZ A08 buses, with 9 registrations.
