What light commercial equipment was purchased in April 2025? Top new and used models

LCVs (light commercial vehicles) offer a number of advantages that make them practical for both business and everyday use. These vehicles are economical, providing better fuel efficiency than larger trucks, which helps reduce operating costs. Their compact dimensions make it easy to navigate in urban traffic and maneuver in densely built-up areas. At the same time, LCVs have sufficient carrying capacity to transport goods, making them ideal for small and medium-sized businesses. Cargo-passenger modifications add versatility, as they are suitable for both commercial purposes and personal use.

Specialists of the Institute of Car Market Research have determined the dynamics of trading in this segment, as well as the most popular types and models for each of the groups. Letʼs start with the total trading volumes. During April 2025, a total of 3.5 thousand cars of the LCV group were purchased. Compared to April 2024, this is a significant 52.7% less. Compared to March of this year, the volume decreased by only 1%. That is, after a long decline, this indicates the achievement of the practically lowest possible trading rhythm in the LCV segment.

Here are the dynamics by subsegments of the LCV market:

  • Domestic resales: −1.1% MM, −65.9% YY
  • Used imports: +1.6% MM, +10.2% YY
  • New imports: −6.9% MM, −11.6% YY
  • Made in Ukraine: +7.4% MM, −12.1% YY
