Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine in November and identified the most popular models in three segments of buses: import of used, domestic resale and purchase of new ones.
Bus market dynamics
In November 2024, Ukrainian carriers purchased 560 new and used buses. This is 32.8% less than in the same period last year, and 20.5% less than in October 2024.
In all segments of commercial transport (trucks, trailers, LCVs) there was a decrease in volumes in November. The bus segment was no exception — also a general "minus", but not yet critical — total sales are currently not too far from the average statistical level.
By individual sub-segments, the dynamics of bus sales is as follows (comparing last month to the previous month, MM, and last month to the same month last year, YY):
- Domestic resales: -35.0% MM, -42.2% YY
- Used imports: +9.6% MM, -12.5% YY
- New imports: −9.1% MM, −47.4% YY
- Made in Ukraine: +32.3% MM, -4.7% YY
Most of the buses were bought on the domestic market : 336 units., which accounted for 60% of the total.
16.3% of used buses, or 91 units, were brought from abroad.
Also last month, 133 new buses were registered for the first time: 123 of these were manufactured or converted in Ukraine ( 22% ), the remaining 10 (1.8%) came from abroad.
The most popular buses on the domestic market
Buses based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter remain the leader of domestic resales, 91 units were bought. A significant part of these vehicles was converted into passenger buses from trucks at one time.
In second place is BAZ "Etalon" A079with a result of 31 cars. On the third — Iveco Daily(19 pcs.).
The most popular used buses brought from abroad
In November, Dutch VDL Ambassador buses took the lead in this sub-segment, 19 of them arrived. In second place is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (16 units).
Third place with a result of 6 buses in Volkswagen Crafter.

The most popular new buses
The first place in the sub-segment of new cars for passenger transportation was won by ZAZ A08, which was submitted for the first registration in the amount of 33 units.
Bohdan/Ataman A-092 is second in this competition, with a total of 29 cars sold.
The third place was taken by BAZ A081 "Etalon" (17 pcs.).
