Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine during November and identified the most popular models in three segments of truck tractors: import of used, internal resale and purchase of new ones.
Dynamics of the truck tractor market
In November 2024, Ukrainians purchased a total of 1.2 thousand new and used truck tractors. This indicator is a significant 51.7% less than the same period in 2023, and also 23.3% less than sales in October 2024.
The structure of this segment is as follows: the share of domestic sales was 49.6%, imports of used truck tractors — 42%.At the same time, the total share of "trucks" with mileage amounted to 91.6%.
8.4% of truck tractors were purchased new, which in quantitative terms equals 99 units. such technology.
By individual sub-segments, the dynamics of the truck tractor market (compared month to the previous month, MM, and month to the same month last year, YY) looks as follows:
- Domestic resales: -27.6% MM, -47.9% YY
- Used imports: -19.7% MM, -55.9% YY
- New imports: −12.4% MM, −49.0% YY
The most popular tractors on the domestic market
DAF XF confidently remains the most popular tractor unit on the domestic market in Ukraine. 189 contracts for the sale of this model have been concluded.
The second place in terms of quantity is MAN TGX, 80 units, the third is Volvo FH, 66 units.
The most popular used tractors imported from abroad
Last month, MAN TGX, which added 139 vehicles to our fleet, won the first place among the "driven" tractors. On the second step is DAF XF, whose total is 127 first registrations. In third place is Scania R-Series (62 pcs.)

The most popular new tractors
Among the new models of semi-trailer trucks, Ukrainian hauliers most often bought the Scania R-Series —this tractor was sold in the amount of 43 pcs.
The second place in this category is occupied by DAF XF with a total of 13 new cars. Third position (9 units) in MAN TGX.
