Experts of the Auto Market Research Institute analyzed vehicle registration statistics in Ukraine during October and identified the most popular models in three segments of truck tractors: used import, domestic resale, and new purchase.
Dynamics of the truck tractor market
In October 2024, Ukrainians purchased a total of 1,548 new and used truck tractors. This figure is a significant 41.4% less than the same period in 2023, and 1% less than sales in September 2024.
The structure of this segment is as follows: the share of domestic sales was 52.3%, imports of used truck tractors — 39.9%.The total share of "trucks" with mileage was 92.2%.
7.8% of truck tractors were purchased new, which in quantitative terms equals 121 units. such technology.
By individual sub-segments, the dynamics of the truck tractor market (compared month to previous month, MM, and month to the same month last year, YY) looks as follows:
- Domestic resales: -14.9% MM, -34.7% YY
- Used imports: +24.1% MM, -49.8% YY
- New imports: +6.1% MM, -30.1% YY
The most popular tractors on the domestic market
DAF XF confidently remains the most popular tractor unit on the domestic market in Ukraine. 252 contracts for the purchase and sale of this model were concluded.
Volvo FH is second in number, 93 units, MAN TGX is third, 89 units.
The most popular used tractors imported from abroad
Last month, the DAF XF, which added 191 vehicles to our fleet, won the first place among the "driven" tractors. On the second step is the MAN TGX, whose total is 148 first registrations. Volvo FH (82 units) will continue to occupy the third position.

The most popular new tractors
Among the new models of semi-trailer trucks, Ukrainian hauliers most often bought the Scania R-Series —this tractor was sold in the amount of 52 pcs.
The second place in this category is occupied by Volvo FH with a total of 16 new machines. Third position (15 units) in MAN TGX.
