In October, Ukrainians and local enterprises bought 5,500 new cars. This is slightly more than it was a month earlier, by 6.3%, but by a similar amount less than what was recorded a year ago, in October 23rd: -7.2%.
In general, the volume of sales of new passenger cars over the past 12 months has remained at an average level of about 5.8 thousand/month, so now we have an almost statistically average volume.
Our review of this segment for September included the following sentence: “Whatʼs next? If there are no new factors that can affect the car market, in November we can expect a return to the average statistical indicators of trades, about 5.8 thousand/month." Well, IDA experts were wrong by only 5% — a perfectly acceptable error, as for forecasts in the conditions in which we are all now.
As usual, the majority of new passenger cars in October (97.1%, 5,295 units) were imported from abroad. The share of passenger cars manufactured in Ukraine by the method of large-unit assembly or converted from imported machine kits amounted to 2.9% (157 units).
Buyers of new cars were mostly individuals (67%), the share of cars purchased by legal entities was 33%.
Among the brands, cars with Toyota, Renault and BMW emblems were the most submitted for first registration. Here are the Top 10 manufacturers according to the results of last month:

Among the new passenger cars converted or manufactured in Ukraine and registered in October (quantitatively, they are included in the overall rating), the most popular are Skoda Karoq (60 units) and Skoda Kodiaq (43 units), which are produced at the Transcarpathian Evrocar plant. The following places were divided between cars converted by local enterprises for various special purposes (by order of the police, medical services, etc.).
