The most popular models of used cars from abroad

Volkswagen Golf remained the leader of "freshly driven" used cars. In January , 903 of these were brought. It is helped by the presence of an electric version of the e-Golf, which we count in the total number, as it differs only in the type of power plant, and the models are not divided by the type of fuel in the ratings.

Skoda Octavia is in second place (701 units), Volkswagen Passat is in third place (619 units). The fourth on the list is Renault Megane, which was "caught up" and submitted for the first registration in the amount of 478 units. Voklswagen Tiguan (414 units) closes the top five "freshly driven" passenger cars.

Top 20 most popular imported cars with mileage in January 2022.

In the January Top-20, as in several previous months, there are three electric cars: Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3 and another TeslaModel Y. In addition to them, electric Volkswagen e-Golfs, which replenished our fleet in the amount of 188 units, are included in the total. We can also mention the electric Ford Focus, but only 7 of them arrived in January, so with such a number it does not have a significant impact on the market and the positioning of the mentioned model in the ratings. The import of electric cars is facilitated by the "zero" rate of customs clearance and the absence of a fee to the Pension Fund upon first registration. You can also add the fuel economy factor to this list, the prices of which are quite significant.

In general, there were significantly fewer first registrations of passenger cars with mileage in January than in December — 17.8 thousand versus 22.9 thousand, which is 22.5% less. At the same time, we expect a likely decrease in import volumes. If previously the main factor that restrained imports was the blocking of borders by Polish "activists", now these blockings have stopped. However, on the Ukrainian side , stricter border crossing conditions have been introduced for men of conscription age, which in turn has reduced the number of drivers who can "overrun" or transport transport from European countries on trucks.
