According to the results of October, the price index in Europe for cars with mileage, determined monthly by AUTO1 Group analysts, was 147.8. This is slightly lower than Septemberʼs reading of 148.0.
Over the past 12 months, wholesale prices for used cars decreased by 9.4%, the index changed from 163.2 in October 2022 to 147.8 in October 2023. Overall, since the beginning of the year, prices have remained stable, with a slight decrease of 1% from January to October.
The AUTO1 price index shows the monthly price change for used cars in Europe. It is determined on the basis of an analysis of more than 3.6 million sales of cars with mileage across Europe. The starting point for this index is January 2015, with a base value of 100 against which all subsequent values are determined.
