The experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of the first registrations of passenger cars and identified the top 20 most popular models that were imported from abroad in October 2023.
The most popular brands among imported cars with mileage
As among domestic resales, the rating of "freshly driven" used cars in October was traditionally led by the Volkswagen brand. 4,000 such cars were registered, which was 18.4% of the total number.
Renault took second place with a share of 8.8% (1.9 thousand) . Audi returned to third place (7.9%, 1.8 thousand), pushing Nissan down one step with a result of 1.7 thousand and 7.6%. Skoda closes the top five ( 6.7%, 1.5 thousand units).

The most popular models of used cars from abroad
Volkswagen Golf remains the leader of "freshly driven" passenger cars with mileage. They were brought in in October1.4 thousand pcs.
Skoda Octavia is in second place (957 units), Volkswagen Passat is in third place (782 units), which slightly improved its result compared to previous periods. However, he is still far from the first place, which he held for several years. Renault Megane is fourth in the standings (759 units).
Rounding out the top five is one of the most affordable and most popular electric cars in Ukraine, the Nissan Leaf (573 units). The Japanese model holds this rather high position for an electric car for the second month in a row.
In general, the Top 20 in October, as last month, included three electric cars: in addition to the Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3 (8th place, +2 steps) and another Tesla — Model Y (259 units). In addition, we should not forget about the electric version of the leader of the list, the Volkswagen e-Golf, which added 406 vehicles to our fleet. The import of electric cars is facilitated by the "zero" rate of customs clearance and the absence of a fee to the Pension Fund upon first registration. Of course, the price of fuel also contributes.
It is interesting that in October 2022, the share of "electric cars" among new arrivals was 8.4%. According to the results of October of the current year, it increased to a rather noticeable 16.6%!
Six models out of 20 popular ones turned out to be crossovers, the trend of buying them in Ukraine persists.
