Experts of the Institute of Auto Market Research analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine during July and identified the top models in three segments of buses: import of used, domestic resale and purchase of new ones.
Bus market dynamics
In September 2023, Ukrainians purchased 804 new and used buses. This indicator is 44.3% higher than in the same period last year and 22.6% lower than in August 2023. Sales figures peaked in the last 12 months in August, and in September the demand for passenger commercial transport decreased.
Most of the buses were bought on the domestic market : 596 units, which accounted for 74.1% of the total number.
9.5% of the total number of used buses were brought from abroad : 76 units.
Also, in September, 132 new buses were registered for the first time: 113 of them were manufactured or converted in Ukraine ( 14.1% ), 19 pcs. imported from abroad ( 2.4% ).
The most popular buses on the domestic market
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis buses remain the leader in domestic resales (141 units). A significant part of these vehicles was converted into passenger buses from trucks.
