Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the top 20 most popular models that were imported from abroad in September.

The most popular brands among imported cars with mileage

As among domestic resales, the rating of "freshly driven" used cars in August was traditionally led by the Volkswagen brand. 3,900 such cars were registered, which was 18.4% of the total number.

The second place was taken by the Renault brand with a share of 9.3% (2 thousand) . Nissan rose to third place (7.9%, 1.7 thousand), instead, Audi dropped one step, taking fourth place(7.8%, 1.7 thousand). Skoda closes the top five ( 6.6%, 1.4 thousand units).

The most popular models of used cars from abroad

Volkswagen Golf remains the leader of "freshly driven" passenger cars with mileage. They brought them in June1.5 thousand pcs.

Used Skoda Octavia (916 units) moved up from fourth to second place. The third step is held by the Renault Megane (806 units), and the Volkswagen Passat (755 units), which once led the rating of "freshly driven" cars for many years, dropped to the fourth place from the second place.

Rounding out the top five is one of the most affordable and most popular electric cars in Ukraine, the Nissan Leaf (588 units). This is the first time that an electric car made it to the top 5 "freshly driven" used cars from abroad.

In general, the top 20 in September, like last month, included three electric cars: in addition to the Nissan Leaf, the most affordable Tesla Model 3 (10th place) and another Tesla — Model Y (251 units). The "zero" customs clearance rate promotes the import of electric cars.

Six models out of 20 popular ones turned out to be crossovers, the trend of buying them in Ukraine persists.

It is also interesting that among the premium brands, the top 20 most popular "freshly driven" cars traditionally include only one — Audi.
