Three electric cars, six crossovers and one premium brand. What else was imported from abroad in August?

Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the top 20 most popular models that were imported from abroad in August.

The most popular brands among imported cars with mileage

As among domestic resales, the rating of "freshly driven" used cars in August was traditionally led by the Volkswagen brand. 4,100 such cars were registered, which was 19.2% of the total number.

The second place was taken by the Renault brand with a share of 9.8% (2.1 thousand) . Audi rose to third place (7.3%, 1.6 thousand). Nissan took the fourth place (7.3%, 1.6 thousand).Skoda closes the top five ( 6.8%, 1.5 thousand units).

The most popular models of used cars from abroad

Volkswagen Golf remains the leader of "freshly driven" passenger cars with mileage. They brought them in June1.6 thousand pcs.

The long-term import leader, used Volkswagen Passat (834 units), rose to second place from fourth place.

The third step is held by Renault Megane (856 units), and Skoda Octavia remains in fourth place (947 units).

Rounding out the top five is the Renault Scenic (599 units).

It is noteworthy that three electric cars entered the top 20 in August: budget Nissan Leaf, the most affordable Tesla Model 3 and another Tesla — Model Y. Six of the 20 popular models turned out to be crossovers, the trend to buy which continues in Ukraine. It is also interesting that only one premium brand — Audi — was included in the list.
