Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of car registrations and identified the top 15 most popular used models that were bought in Ukraine in May.
The most popular brands in the domestic market
The leader of passenger car brands that were bought on the domestic market in May Volkswagen remains the biggest. Ukrainians concluded 10,500 purchase and sale agreements for cars of this brand, which is 12.4% of the total number.
The second place in the rating was taken by Renault (5.9%, 5.1 thousand ).
Skoda took third place, overtaking VAZ (Lada) with a share of 5.6% ( 4.8 thousand ). Instead, the products of the Russian-Soviet automotive industry took fourth place, occupying the same share — 5.6% ( 4.8 thousand . agreements).
Toyota closes the top five with a share of 5.4% and 4.6 thousand transactions.
The most popular models in the domestic market
The first place among domestic sales in May was taken by the unchanging leader of the Ukrainian car market Volkswagen Passat (3 thousand deals). In second place is Daewoo Lanos (together with modifications, including Sens) with 2.7 thousand deals. Skoda Octavia was in third place, just like last month (2.7 thousand deals).
The fourth step was taken by Volkswagen Golf (2.4 thousand transactions). Rounding out the top five is Renault Megane (1.6 thousand transactions).
In general, the top 20 used cars on the domestic market in May look like this:
- Volkswagen Passat — 3,002 pcs.
- Daewoo Lanos & Sens — 2,743 pcs.
- Skoda Octavia — 2,684 pcs.
- Volkswagen Golf — 2,434 pcs.
- Renault Megane — 1,608 pcs.
- Ford Focus — 1,299 pcs.
- Skoda Fabia — 1,238 pcs.
- BMW 5 Series — 1,135 pcs.
- Opel Astra — 1,099 pcs.
- Chevrolet Aveo — 1,078 pcs.
- Toyota Camry — 1,077 pcs.
- BMW 3 Series — 1,066 pcs.
- VAZ 2109/99 — 1,001 pcs.
- Mercedes-Benz E-Class — 994 pcs.
- Audi A6 — 968 pcs.
