Sales of truck tractors fell for the fourth month in a row

Experts of the Auto Market Research Institute analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine during January and identified the top models in three segments of truck tractors: used import, domestic resale, and new purchase.

Dynamics of the truck tractor market

In January, Ukrainians bought 3,300 new and used truck tractors. This is 37.5% more than in the same period of last year 2022 and -5.7% less than in December 2022. After the peak of sales that fell in September due to the change of logistics routes and the shutdown of Ukrainian seaports, the indicators of this market segment are falling for the fourth month in a row, although in general the demand for truck tractors is significantly higher than a year ago.

Majority( 50.8% ) of all tractors were brought in used from abroad (1.7 thousand units). The number of imports of these vehicles is decreasing, along with this, its share among the total number of sales is decreasing.

1,500 units were purchased on the domestic market, which is 44.4% of the total.

4.8% of truck tractors were purchased new, which in quantitative terms equals 158 units.
