Sales of new and used small commercial equipment: top models

Experts of the Institute of Car Market Research analyzed the statistics of vehicle registrations in Ukraine in November and identified the most popular models of small commercial vehicles in three segments: import of used cars, domestic resale and purchase of new cars.

LCV market dynamics

In November, Ukrainians purchased 4,100 light commercial vehicles with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tons. This is -36.6% less than in the same period last year, and 3% less than in October 2022.

The majority of small commercial cars were purchased on the domestic market in November 2022: 3.2 thousand (76.6%). 823 used LCVs were imported from abroad, which is -44.1% less than a year earlier and 15.2% more than in October 2022.

Only 127 new imported LCVs were sold, and another 22 were purchasedlight trucks converted by Ukrainian enterprises. Overall, new LCV sales accounted for only 3.6% of the total number of small commercial vehicles.

The most popular LCVs in the domestic market

The leader in the domestic LCV resale market remains the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (435 units), based on which there are many modifications and superstructures for various needs.

Renault Master (265 units) took the second place in the rating, as last month, and Ford Transit (209 units) took the third place.

The fourth place was taken by the Volkswagen Transporter (183 units), and the fifth place by the Russian GAZ 3302 "Gazelle" (181 units).

The fifth place was taken by the popular Renault Kangoo (202 units).

The most popular used LCVs imported from abroad

Renault Master remains the leader of imported used LCVs (215 units), Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is in second place (163 units), and Renault Kangoo (66 units) is in third place.

Renault Traffic (49 units) and Volkswagen Crafter (39 units) also made it into the top five.

The Renault Express compact minivan (34 units) will continue to be the leader of the new LCV segment. Fiat Ducato took second place (13 units), and third place was taken by Peugeot Landtrek (12 units).
