Today, the Committee on Financial, Tax and Customs Policy recommended to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the bill as a basis . After the official registration of the document, it will be sent to the peopleʼs deputies for consideration in the parliament hall.
The main provisions of the bill:
- Valid only for so-called "Eurobills" imported before December 31, 2020;
- Validity — 180 days from the date of acceptance;
- One car of one category per person (one car, one truck, one trailer);
- Cars must meet the Euro-2 standard or higher;
- UAH 8,500 "voluntary contribution";
- The car can be simply taken out of Ukraine, paying 8500 UAH.
Customs clearance cost:
- Duty — zero;
- Excise duty — a new formula that takes into account the age of the car, fuel type and engine capacity;
- 20% VAT will be charged on excise duty, not on the cost of the car.
Judging by the difficulty of making a decision on the committee, the votes in the hall may not be enough.
