In May, according to information from the aggregator Automoto.ua, the largest number of ads on the Ukrainian used car market was for Volkswagen models. The leader was the Volkswagen Passat — over 6.6 thousand active ads, the average price — $6,300, and the average age of such cars — 17.9 years. In second place was the Volkswagen Golf (5.8 thousand ads, $5,500, average age — 18.7 years). The top three was rounded out by the Skoda Octavia with similar indicators: 5.6 thousand ads, $6,532, average age — 16 years.

The top ten also included:
- Daewoo Sens/Lanos is the cheapest car in the ranking: $1,850 with an average age of 19 years.
- BMW 3 and 5 series — despite being premium class, they have a stable presence on the market (about 3.3 thousand ads each).
- Renault Megane, Audi A6 and Opel Astra are traditional representatives of the European market that remain popular among Ukrainians.
- The VAZ 2106 is a true “old-timer” of the market with an average age of 37.2 years. It is the cheapest car in the rating: on average it sells for $652.
This rating is not about what is most often bought, but about what is most often put up for sale. The leaders are mass-produced models from 2000–2010 that have been in circulation for a long time: easy to repair, with affordable spare parts and a stable reputation. This is a showcase of the secondary market, formed not by demand, but by the willingness of owners to say goodbye to cars that were once a reliable support. And whether there will be buyers for them will be shown by other statistics, which we will prepare soon.
