The Institute of Car Market Research publishes another review of the activities of the Ukrainian car market in the segments of domestic resale, first registrations and imports of used cars for the first quarter of 2021.
“Secondary market” should be understood as the total number of purchase and sale agreements of used cars of the relevant type (cars, trucks, buses, etc.), and the number of first registrations of such vehicles.
In total, in the 1st quarter of 2021, the number of resold cars on the secondary market amounted to 294,258 units. The structure of the market was as follows: 90 773 pcs. (31%) — the first registrations of imported cars, 203,485 units. (69%) — resale within the country. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2020, the total market volume increased by 10%, while the market structure remained unchanged.
